JOB SUMMARY:  As the Chief Marketing Officer, you'll be the creative force behind Gustavus' brand identity and strategic marketing initiatives. Your mission will be to elevate our visibility, engage diverse audiences, and inspire lifelong connections with our institution.

Employment Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Benefits-Eligible, Exempt (Salaried)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Strategic Brand Management: Lead the development and implementation of a cohesive brand strategy across all channels.
  • Innovative Campaigns: Conceptualize and execute innovative marketing campaigns that resonate with our target audience.
  • Crafting Compelling Stories: Develop authentic narratives that capture the essence of our college's mission, values, and impact.
  • Digital Presence: Oversee the digital marketing strategy and the formation & activation against a well-defined enrollment marketing strategy, including channels such as website optimization, social media engagement, and email marketing. 
  • Community Engagement: Cultivate meaningful relationships with students, alumni, faculty, and community partners to foster a sense of belonging and pride in our college.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and inform future strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and mentor a team of creative professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Prerequisites

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Passion for Education: Deep appreciation for the transformative power of liberal arts education and a commitment to advancing the college's mission.
  • Creative Vision: Proven track record of developing innovative marketing strategies that break through the noise and drive results.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to think strategically and translate vision into actionable plans with measurable outcomes.
  • Storytelling Skills: Exceptional storytelling abilities with a knack for crafting compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in data analysis tools and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience leading and inspiring teams to achieve ambitious goals.
