JOB SUMMARY:  The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support for all Consortium activities, working closely with the Program Director and faculty members within the Consortium of 13 colleges and universities, especially the Executive Board members. 

Employment Type: Part-time (.25-.35 FTE), Non-benefits eligible, and Non-exempt (Hourly). Anticpated start date = As soon as possible to complete onboarding, but official work will start July 1, 2024. 

This is a 3-year assignment with an end date of July 1, 2027. This position is funded by the Midstates Constortium for Math and Science. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Keep detailed financial and event records
  • Assist Consortium members with travel arrangements
  • Process payments for reimbursements and honoraria
  • Coordinate event logistics such as announcements, registration, programming, catering and hotel accommodations
  • Attend and travel to the two major overnight events in the Fall (November)
  • Attend overnight Spring board meeting (April)
  • Maintain the Consortium website and archive of event information
  • Handle annual invoices and deposits of member dues
  • Assist the Director in the preparation of event reports and the annual report

Prerequisites

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High School degree or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Competency with basic financial records
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Google Suite products 
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Strong customer service, prompt phone and email communication
