The Constitution of the Gustavus Adolphus College Yearbook
Article I : Name of Yearbook
The name of the yearbook will be discussed by all club members and decided on through a voting process
Article II : Membership in Yearbook
Membership into the Yearbook club will be granted to all students who possess interest
Article III : Yearbook Leadership Positions
Yearbook leadership will consist of an advisor, student liaison, editor, assistant editor, copy/layout editor, photography editor, and any other necessary positions at the discretion of the advisor and student liaison. Leadership positions will be determined based on those interested in specific jobs, as well as a voting process. The final positions will be chosen by the advisor and student liaison.
Article IV : Duties of the Positions
Student Liaison : Must be a student worker in the Office of Alumni and Parent Engagement, demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills, fields all questions to the best of their ability, oversees all yearbook efforts.
Editor : Must be a student who demonstrates leadership skills, the ability to communicate and compromise effectively, oversees all editing efforts
Assistant Editor : Must be a student who shows interest in being Editor and is willing to meet all responsibilities assigned to them by the Advisor, Student Liaison, or Editor. Being Assistant Editor does not guarantee the role of Editor.
Copy/Layout : Must be a student willing to edit all pages in the yearbook making sure they have no obvious errors and that they align with the “theme” Responsible for the nice flow of the pages
Photography Editor : Must be a student who is confident in photography skills. Responsible for the high quality of all images placed on the pages.
Article V : Withdraw of Funds
The Gustavus Yearbook will follow all campus policies regarding the withdrawal of funds or bills that may be associated with publishing the yearbook
Article VI : Amending the Constitution
The constitution will be reviewed annually, any proposed changes will be prepared in writing and voted on by the members of the club.. A 2/3 majority is needed for an amendment to be put in place and must also be approved by the advisor and student liaison.
