Full membership in this organization shall be open to all Gustavus students and staff.
Leadership positions
the organization shall consist of a president, vice president, treasurer, secretary/public relations representative and DLC representative
Duties and Powers:
- a) The duties of the president shall be to preside at all meetings,
to call special meetings, to appoint committees, etc. - b) The duties of the vice president, shall be to
perform the same duties as the president. - c) The duties of the treasurer shall be to keep an accurate and
complete record of all monetary transactions, etc.. - d) The duties of the secretary/public relations representative, shall be to keep an accurate, permanent record of the minutes and proceedings of the organization.
- e) Public Relations Office requires keeping the public (external audience) and members (internal audience) informed about the club or activities through effective communication channels and media relations.
Election of leaders:
- a) The leaders shall be elected each semester or by being nominated by leadership committee
Faculty/Staff Advisor The French Club is required to have a faculty/staff advisor (preferably a member of the French Section of the Language Department). This person must be a full-time University employee.
Meetings
The Gustavus French Club will meet every Wednesday at 4:30 pm -5:30 pm. In addition, at any other agreed upon time for special events.
