Women's Hockey Scores Three Times In Third Period To Slip By St. Olaf 4-2 In Northfield

The Gustavus women's hockey team trailed 2-1 heading into the third period against St. Olaf on Saturday night, but Mollie Carroll scored to tie the score at 2-2 at the 2:37 mark and then Melissa Mackley scored two short-handed goals in just over a minute midway through the period to allow the Gusties to escape with the 4-2 win. Emily Klatt picked up the win in goal for Gustavus.

The Gusties exploded for four goals in the second period and then added two more in the third to finish with the 6-0 win. Six different players scored for Gustavus. Danielle Justice recorded the shutout win in the nets.

    The Gustavus women's hockey team broke open a tight game with two third period goals on its way to a 3-0 win over Saint Mary's on Saturday afternoon. Lynn Hillen, Christine Wicker, and Alyssa Gaulrapp scored for the Gusties and goaltender Emily Klatt recorded 12 saves on her way to her recording her second consecutive shutout. The win was the 200th career victory for head coach Mike Carroll.

    The Gustavus women's hockey team improved to 2-1-0 overall and 1-1-0 in the MIAC with a convincing 4-1 win over Saint Mary's University at the New Ulm Civic Center on Friday evening. The Gusties were led by Melissa Mackley and Kirstin Peterson as both scored a goal and registered two assists . Mari Gunderson and Allie Schwab also scored for the Gusties, while Danielle Justice picked up the win in the nets.
