MIAC Announces 2007-08 Winter And Spring Academic All-Conference

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) recently announced its 2007-08 Winter and Spring Academic All-Conference honorees. The MIAC recognized 387 student-athletes who represented the conference's thirteen institutions. Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior, or senior with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale to qualify for MIAC Academic All-Conference recognition.

• Softball Player Rachael Click Named To CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Team
  Gustavus softball player Rachael Click, a junior shortstop from Rochester, Minn. (Mayo HS), has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/ESPN The Magazine's Academic All-America Team. Click, a First Team selection this year, was a Third Team selection last year as a sophomore.
• Three Gustavus Softball Players Named All-MIAC
  Gustavus Adolphus College softball players Julie Mahre (Sr., Lino Lakes, Minn./White Bear Lake), Rachael Click (Jr., Rochester, Minn./Mayo), and Emily Klein (Jr., Red Wing, Minn.) have been named to All-MIAC Softball team released by the conference office Monday, May 12. Callie Nelsen (So., Willmar, Minn.) and Emily Wendorff (Fy., Prior Lake, Minn./Lakeville South) were tabbed as honorable mention All-MIAC selections,
• Rachael Click and Julie Mahre Named Academic All-District Five By CoSIDA/ESPN
  Gustavus Adolphus softball players Rachael Click (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) and Julie Mahre (Lino Lakes, Minn./White Bear Lake) have been named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Five College Division Teams as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Click was named to the Academic All-District First Team for the second consecutive season, and will now advance to the national ballot.
• Julie Mahre And Rachael Click Named To NFCA All-Midwest Region Team
  Gustavus Adolphus College softball players Julie Mahre (Sr., Lino Lakes, Minn./White Bear Lake) and Rachael Click (Jr., Rochester, Minn./Mayo) have been named to the All-Midwest Region Team as released by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). Mahre and Click were first-team selections.
