The primary purpose of our financial aid program at Gustavus Adolphus College is to provide financial assistance to students who, without such aid, would be unable to attend Gustavus. We admit students on the basis of their accomplishments and potential to contribute to our community. This means you will be studying with other students who have outstanding academic achievements from a variety of economic backgrounds, who made their college decision based on value. While we believe that the primary responsibility for financing education lies with the student and his or her parents or guardians, we stand ready to help fill in the gap when family resources do not meet our costs.
