Gustavus Adolphus College senior women's hockey player Margaret Dorer and senior women's Nordic skier Laura Edlund have been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Women's At-Large Team as released by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Dorer, a College Division Second Team selection, and Edlund, a College Division Third Team selection, are the sixth and seventh Gustavus student-athletes to be named Academic All-Americans this year.

Five Gusties Named To CoSIDA Academic All-District V College Division At-Large Teams
Five Gustavus Adolphus College student athletes were recognized recently as the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) released the 2008 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V College Division At-Large Teams. Andy Bryan (men's tennis), Margaret Dorer (women's hockey), Laura Edlund (women's Nordic skiing) and Connor Ziegler (men's swimming and diving) were named to the first team, while Kimbra Kosak (women's golf) was honored on the second team.

Women's Nordic Skiing Finish 18th At NCAA Skiing Championships
Gustavus women's Nordic skier Laura Edlund turned in the highest finish by a Gustie at the NCAA Skiing Championships with a 18th-place finish in the 15K Classic race at Bohart Ranch in Bozeman, Mont. Kathleen DeWahl and Kelly Chaudoin turned in top 30 finishes at 27th and 29th, respectively. The performances by Edlund, DeWahl, and Chaudoin assured the Gusties at least an 18th-place finish in the team standings, which would be the highest finish by a Gustavus Nordic ski team.

Women's Nordic Skiing Set To Compete At NCAA Skiing Championships
Nordic skiers Laura Edlund, Kathleen DeWahl, and Kelly Chaudoin will participate in the 55th annual NCAA Collegiate Skiing Championships this week, March 5-8, at Bohart Ranch in Bozeman, Mont. These skiers earned the right to participate in the championships based on point totals earned in eight Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) races throughout the season.

Three Women's Nordic Skiers Qualify For NCAA Collegiate Ski Championships
Laura Edlund, Kathleen DeWahl, and Kelly Chaudoin will represent Gustavus at the NCAA Collegiate Ski Championships on March 5-8 in Bozeman, Mont. All three skiers earned berths by virtue of their performances in eight CCSA-qualifying races in freestyle and classic techniques this season. The trio also led the team to a second place finish in the women's standings at last weekend's Central Region Championships,
