Scott Moe
Scott Moe, a 1995 graduate of Gustavus, enters his sixth season with the women's golf program. Moe was appointed the head women's golf coach in the spring of 2004 and then guided the women to their second consecutive appearance in the national tournament. The squad finished second at the 2007 MIAC Championships, and in the spring of 2008, Moe led the Gusties to a sixth-place finish in the NCAA Championships.
Moe and his squad have qualified for the NCAA Championships four out of five years that he has been at the helm. The Gusties have posted top ten finishes in four national tournament appearances, including two top-five finishes and a second place finish in 2006. During his tenure, Moe has coached eight golfers who have earned 13 all-conference honors, the MIAC and NGCA Freshman of the Year in 2006, and four individuals who have earned All-America honors five times.
Moe, a native of Elk River, Minnesota, was named the Women's National Golf Coaches Association National Coach of the Year and the Midwest Region Coach of the Year during the 2007-08 season. In 2005, Moe was named the Women's MIAC Coach of the Year. As the men's golf coach, Moe has been named MIAC Coach of the Year six times (1997, 1998, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008) and the Golf Coaches Association of America's District Five Coach of the Year five times (1996-97, 1997-98, 1998-99, 2001-02, 2003-04).
